Ashwathy graduated from Bangalore University with BA in Psychology, Sociology and Economics, an MSc in Psychology
and a Diploma in Child Psychology and Primary Education. She has up to date training in effective study strategies to enable dyslexic students to become more efficient learners and to improve their reading writing skills, from the Dyslexia Association of Singapore and she recently completed CELTA training with the British Council in Singapore.

Ashwathy has worked in a number of international schools both in India and here in Singapore. She is passionate about inclusive teaching and believes that the two most important facets of teaching are understanding a child’s mindset and incorporating different teaching methodologies that match their individual learning styles. Ashwathy strongly believes that innovation and creativity are the key elements that lead to happy, engaged learners and seeks to incorporate multi-sensory learning into her teaching. It is her interest in inclusive education and SEN that have brought her to Dover Court and she is delighted to be able to pursue her interests in education.

Ashwathy believes that learning never stops and is currently pursuing a PGCE in Special Education from the University of South Wales. She lives in Singapore with her husband and is the proud mom of a young son. In her free time, Ashwathy loves travelling, dancing and organising story-telling workshops for children.
