Staff Profile: Rachael Cox

Rachael Cox

Year 6 Class Teacher (6RC)

Rachael graduated from Lancaster University with BSc Psychology in Education (with Honours) and went on to complete a PGCE in Primary Teaching at the University of Winchester.

Originally from Lancashire in the UK, Rachael is in her fourth year of teaching in West London and is very much looking forward to the move to Dover Court.

Whilst studying, Rachael also was a member of the university netball team and social secretary for her university college. Having enjoyed several primary school placements throughout her college and university life, Rachael then moved down to Winchester to complete her PCGE in Primary Teaching which she passed with Masters Credits.

During her time in London, Rachael has taught years four, five and six, as well as coordinating the library and leading both the school netball and cross country teams. Keen to bring her love of sport to her school, she was promoted to leader of learning for PE and has since brought in new PE teaching strategies and has increased school participation in after school sports clubs and competitions.

Out of school, Rachael is a keen runner, having completed multiple half marathons, a series of Tough Mudder events and most recently she completed the London Marathon. Next on her list is a triathlon! Rachael is also an avid traveller having spent several summers in Europe and South East Asia and cannot wait to explore the latter more during her time in Singapore.
