Mr Anthony Rowlands Weekly Update 2nd October

Earlier in the month I mentioned that Nord Anglia Education (NAE) has launched a new initiative called “Be Ambitious”. Regarding this initiative, NAE believe that:

We are ambitious for our students, our people and our family of schools. We believe that:

there is no limit to what every student can achieve
●  creativity and challenge help us get better every day
●  learning should be personalised to each child
●  unique global opportunities enhance every student’s learning experience

At BIS Hanoi, we are currently discussing how we will integrate this initiative into our school community. As a school, we want to be ambitious for our students and we want our students to be ambitious for themselves. We will keep the school community informed of the progress we are making with regard to the “Be Ambitious” programme. In the meantime, please find

a link to an NAE video launching the initiative.

Last Friday, we held our Moon Festival celebrations which started with a special assembly in the Auditorium. For this event, I was flown into space and actually experienced the festival on the moon! It was a very enjoyable and colourful event with great performances from a large number of our students culminating with an exciting Dragon Dance. Thank you to all the staff and students who worked so hard to make it such a wonderful event. Additionally, I would like to thank the 200+ parents who attended and supported this very special day in our calendar.

I do hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

Mr Anthony Rowlands, Principal
