Caring, Respect and Perseverance have been shown in abundance at BIS Hanoi over the last week. Our DoEIA Gold and Silver students arrived back from Dalat on Tuesday having completed their respective expeditions. For our students to motivate themselves to complete such a challenge, takes huge perseverance. Care and respect were also required as they cooperated in teams to support and encourage each other - a magnificent achievement for all our wonderful DoEIA students and staff.
International Week culminated last Friday with a fantastic array of activities highlighting the enormous respect and care that we have for each other at BIS Hanoi. It was a time to celebrate the similarities and differences between cultures, many of which are represented among our student body. Care, Respect and our development as “Global Citizens Learning Together” was so evident throughout the week.
Finally, our “Winter Carnival” was an enormous success. The student and staff performances on the stage were stunning and we were grateful to the Russian Embassy School for participating and performing such a beautiful traditional Russian dance. The variety of wonderful booths and food areas that were available made a great impact. Equally important was the money that we raised for our School’s community work. Several stalls operated by students, staff and parents contributed to many of the good causes that our school supports. It was an event that truly did personify our Aide Memoire:
This week ended at school with an outstanding Tet Assembly which was such a colourful and enjoyable experience for us all.
I would like to wish all our Vietnamese families a most peaceful and enjoyable Tet – Chuc Mung Nam Moi!
