Great start to the Global games for BIS. After the parade and the opening ceremony the students were off to their events. All the students tried their best and showed perseverance throughout the day. We have had outstanding performances from several of our students. In the primary competition for the track events, we had students after the heats in the 100, 200 and 300m finals. Well done to all the students who made it through to their finals. In the secondary competition we showed great sportsmanship. We had students attempting for their first time events and we would like to congratulate Nhat Minh and Tung with their performance in the triple jump. Getting an 3rd and a first place respectively. On the track congratulations to Phung Anh Le winning the 100m and Minh winning the 400m and the 1500m. Bac Dung won the primary Javelin and Minh Anh came 3rd in the 200m final.

Our secondary boys team at the end of the day won the team event. Well done to everyone who did their best and excelled today. We will be in the pool tomorrow.

Day 2 in the pool was yet another good day for BIS at the Global Games. All students had to swim in the meet and contribute to the team competition. The primary students had to swim heats in the morning to qualify for their finals in the afternoon. Most of the team members made their finals and improved their swim times throughout the day. Well done to Penelope, Ha Minh, Minh and Duy Anh in completing their very first 200m Individual Medley. Phuong Linh and Ha Minh won gold in the 100m Freestyle. Minh won gold in the Butterfly, Quang Minh finished 3

rd

and several of our relay teams received medals for their effort in the pool.

Was a great day. The team competition winners will be announced tomorrow morning. Students are having a calm evening tonight to be fresh for the football tournament tomorrow.

Day 3: Great last day of the global games. All the teams played very well and BIS results were very good. Primary girls finished 4th overall after a nail biting penalty shootout. Primary boys won their match with a golden goal in extra time and were overall 3rd. Both the secondary teams played in the gold medal matches. Both teams won the gold medal. Congratulations to all 4 teams.
