Mr Anthony Rowlands Weekly Update 11th March

I am sometimes asked if we challenge ourselves enough as a school to “Be Ambitious”. Therefore, I decided to use one of BIS Hanoi’s key attributes and

reflect

on all that we have achieved in this term alone. The list is quite remarkable:

-       A hugely successful International Week
-       Thoroughly enjoyable Winter Carnival
-       Gold, Silver and Bronze DoEIA Expeditions
-       A comprehensive and exciting ECA Programme
-       Becoming confirmed as an IB World School
-       Well organised and efficient Mock Examinations
-       Colourful  Tet Assembly
-       A number of sporting fixtures and tournaments
-       Fantastic success in the Nord Anglia “Be Ambitious Challenge” including being the  overall winner
-       Great success at the Nord Anglia Global Games in Hong Kong including  being the overall winner of  the Secondary Boys’ section
-       A group of students successfully participating in a large MUN Conference at UNIS
-       A group of students taking part in the Hanoi Maths Olympiad

Still to come this Term:

-       A group of students participating in the “Great British Bake Off”  at the Metropole with the British Ambassador and  UK celebrity chef Gary Rhodes
-       The trip to the Nord Anglia Camp in Tanzania by a group of Secondary Students and staff
-       Secondary Production – The one and only  “West Side Story”
-       Parent Evenings
-       Primary Shared Learning
-       Expeditions in Year 4, 5 and 6

I think we can safely say that we do challenge ourselves to “Be Ambitious” at BIS Hanoi and will continue to do so!

Have a most enjoyable weekend!

Mr Anthony Rowlands, Principal
