Mr Christopher Short Weekly Update 08/04/2016

The end of term is finally here. It has been a busy and successful term. We had a strange first last week in that we said goodbye to our first graduating class.

Year 13 ran part of the assembly and showed a great video on how BIS had touched their lives. It even featured sections with former students reminiscing how much they missed BIS.

The DoEIA Bronze qualifying expedition came back on Monday. It was a long trip to Sapa and a challenging walk but the students did very well and did themselves, Mr Airdrie and his team proud. The next expedition is the inaugural Gold expedition to South Korea. Four intrepid students and two staff will head to Seoul to then explore the Korean countryside.

It was really good to see so many Year 7 parents in for the Parents Evening. It is such a fantastic opportunity to share success with parents and identify and act upon the advice teachers give.

Our Sports Day this morning was a brilliant way to finish the term. It was good to see such healthy competition. Many thanks to Ms Wild and the PE team for such a great event. Congratulations to Dalat for another brilliant victory.
