Our community service program continues to grow from strength to strength, encouraging our students to be conscious and active members of their community.

We invited one of our partners ‘The SOS Village’, for orphan children, to visit the school for a fun-packed morning; this is the 3rd exchange this year and it was wonderful to see the children again. Approximately 40 BIS children joined with our 22 guests.

The children really enjoyed showing off their artistic talents, painting and drawing pictures in the Art Room.

Even though it was an extremely hot day the boys took part enthusiastically in a competitive game of football.

For those still full of energy, we moved into the Sports Hall to enjoy playing basketball, badminton and table tennis.

After an action packed morning and working up a good appetite, we retired to the canteen for lunch and hungrily devoured the delicious pizza we’d had delivered.  We then moved on to the Theatre to relax and watch a movie about Wallace and Gromit.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped make this a fun day for our visitors and we look forward to more exchanges after the summer holidays.

Mr. Kevin Halpin, Community Service Liaison Officer
