Ms Sue Hill Weekly Update 24.06 Two very special events took place this week in the Primary School. The second event was the Primary Talent Show.

Dear Parents,
Two very special events took place this week in the Primary School. Firstly, the Early Year Centre performed ’In My Dreams’: a lively and colourful production with catchy tunes and an important moral where good conquered evil and friendship won through. I must congratulate the team of teachers and teaching assistants who have worked tirelessly over the past few weeks. A special mention goes to Ms. Kaye who wrote and directed the production. When you take into account that the youngest children are just 2 years of age and the fact that there were over 100 children performing, you can appreciate the accomplishments even more. Children, you were amazing!

The second event was the Primary Talent Show. The 13 acts which made the final yesterday were already winners as they had battled their way through the heats and semifinals which have taken place over this term. The quality and variety made the event highly entertaining: solo performers on the piano and violin competed against dramatic story telling, comedy, dance acts and bands. Just before the final winners were announced, the teachers took to the stage and Mr Rowlands led the band through a couple of Elvis Presley classics. A flash mob of staff then erupted from the audience to dance alongside the band. It was also wonderful to see our parents and our children join in too. What a super way to finish the year!

A special congratulations to our talent show winners:  Xuan An for his solo dance performance and Jae Eun for her violin solo. Thank you so much, Mr. Adams for organising the completion and compering the event with humour and a real passion.

I would now like to wish you all a wonderful holiday. To the staff who are leaving, I wish you all the very best for your new adventures and thank you for your commitment to our young learners and professionalism here at the BIS. You will be missed by your colleagues and children! To the families who are leaving, I wish you all the very best too and hope that you take with you many happy memories.
