I am pleased to see that many of our students are now wearing helmets as they are arriving at and departing from school on their bicycles which is wonderful. In the interests of safety we are now insisting that all students wear helmets if they cycle to school and they will continually be informed of this. The same applies to students who ride home on the back of a motor bike – They should wear a helmet.

As adults and role models we also need to be setting the example to the children in this regard  by wearing helmets at all times on motor cycles and bicycles. The safety of our students is extremely  important to us at BIS Hanoi.

This afternoon we held our Annual House Allocation Afternoon in the school’s auditorium. It is a wonderful occasion where students and staff new to the school are allocated to their Houses – Hanoi, Saigon, Dalat or Hue. It is a wonderful afternoon of noise and excitement based on the “Harry Potter Sorting Hat”  theme and is totally enjoyed by all students and staff. Additionally, it is events like this that bring the whole of BIS Hanoi together from F1 to Y13 in our wonderful Auditorium.

That is all from BIS Hogwarts.

I do hope that you have a wonderful long weekend and an enjoyable Vietnam National Day.

Mr Anthony Rowlands, Principal
