Dear Parents,

This afternoon, Professor Dumbledore Rowlands, Professor McGonagall Hill and a famous Quidditch player joined our BIS Auditorium for the annual placement of our new students into their house teams. All our BIS community from last year sat in one of the four quadrants of the hall, clearly visible by the colour of their team t-shirts: red, yellow, green and blue.

The lights were lowered, the music sounded and the sorting hat worked its magic! Projected on a bright screen, the newest members of our community appeared and were directed to the appropriate collection point. The first four students ran excitedly to the Hanoi table, collected their t-shirt and proudly joined their new team mates. The atmosphere was electric as Hanoi cheered loudly in response. The fun continued until all members of staff and students were allocated a house.

The Foundation Stage children then appeared on the stage in their house teams, waving their flags for Hanoi, Saigon, Hue and Dalat. This signaled the end of our official welcome to all new members of the BIS community.

Ms Sue Hill, Head of Primary
