Secondary Artists of the Week 2016
Secondary Artists of the Week 2016 Quang Minh is our first Artist of the week after requesting to finish his half portrait at home.

Dao Ha - Year 13
Ha in Year 13 has recently painted this outstanding hyper realistic piece as one of many responses to her theme of water. It was great to see her patience with this piece which has resulted in one of the most accurate paintings I've ever seen from a student.
Incredible work Ha! Well done

Eun Ju Hong -Year 7

Eun Ju Hong in Year 7 is this week’s Artist of the week with this fantastic copy of Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. Students in Year 7 have recently been learning about colour and mark making as they plan to create their own impressionist master piece. Eun Ju worked incredibly hard on this homework with paint showing a clear understanding of Van Goghs iconic use of colour and brush marks.

KS3 Artist of the Week: Phuong Anh – 8E1

Our new KS3 Artist of the Week is Phuong Anh, who has made great use of different mark-making techniques and mediums to create a colourful and interesting ‘Natural Forms’ homework!

Upper School Artists of the Week: SEO Hyun Bee(Hannah), LUA Xin Jie (Valerie), DUONG Son Ha

These three students from Year 10 are the upper school artists of the week for their observational studies and development work based on the theme of Viewpoints. To begin these pieces students created 3 observational drawings, one on top of the other before simplifying different elements of their drawings. They then used water colour paint with great control and accuracy whilst making visual references to Picasso and Michael Craig Martin.

Upper School Artist – Dao Nguyet Ha – 13

Ha Nguyet Dao in Year 13 is once again this week’s Artist of the Week! In this incredible homework Ha has worked from a photoshoot taken of a friend in the October holidays. This A2 oil painting is a result of 9 hours of work and is just one of the many outstanding pieces of work in her portfolio which will support her university application. Well done Ha!

KS3 Artist – Quang Minh Nguyen - 9E1

Quang Minh is our first Artist of the week after requesting to finish his half portrait at home. He’s done a fantastic job on accurately drawing out the other half of this face in pencil whilst keeping it in proportion and using a variety of tones.

Upper School Artist – Dao Nguyet Ha – 13

Ha is currently at the early stages of her coursework and has chosen to focus on the theme of water. After discovering the hyper realistic work by Linnea Strid, Ha has worked hard to replicate the intricate and highly detailed painting style in this copy of her work using oil paint.
