'Be Healthy and Stay Safe' Week at BIS Hanoi

The "Be Healthy and Stay Safe Week" has been in full swing at the British International Week Hanoi. Students have been seen doing creative exercises in their classrooms each morning get their circulation going. The school cooking room and other areas have seen very creative, healthy food and drink produced.

On a visit to the EYC I was extremely lucky to have been given the opportunity to taste two different types of of smoothies produced by F2 students. I must say I favoured the Banana smoothie over the Mango smoothie and the F2 children seemed to agree with me! We have seen students and parents playing an indoor version of T Ball together inside the Sports hall because of the poor weather outside. Additionally, we have been pushing our 'wear a helmet' campaign. Making sure our children are healthy and safe is very important to us as a school.

Our older students in Y11, and Y13 have been doing their mock examinations in preparation for the IGCSE and A Level examinations that will take place in June. Analysing their performance in these examinations help the teachers and the students prepare for the real thing in a few months’ time. Next week I will be in London  for our annual recruitment of teachers for the next academic year. We have a good field of applicants for the positions that we have available and I am very confident we will, once again, recruit high quality teachers for the next academic year.

Hopefully, the rain that we have experienced this week will have stopped in order for you all to have a very pleasant weekend.

Anthony Rowlands, Principal
