International Primary Curriculum

As a British International School we adapt our curriculum for students so that the topics they learn reflect the international setting and backgrounds that they come from. The International Primary Curriculum that we follow for History, Geography, Art and DT really engages and captivates our young learners. The Entry and Exit points are a fantastic opportunity to hook the children into their new topic and also for the children to be able to showcase their learning.

On Monday, Year 6 created a time tunnel to celebrate their learning from their most recent topic. Getting creative and bringing learning to life in this way really motivates the children. The level of their writing, such as descriptive diary entries that they have been working on recently show the high level of English skills that are foundation of our Primary Curriculum. The next day saw them walking around school with their bags packed as they began their new topic of Migration. The reflections of the students show how this type of curriculum deepens their learning and also enjoyment.

Fun Run

It was great to see so many parents and students at the Eco Park, despite the rain on Sunday. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was a great way to start a Sunday. Well done to all those that joined in.

International Week

We are all very excited about the start of International Week next week and are looking forward to welcoming parents and children in the national costumes to Monday’s assembly. I know lots of parents have been coming into school are using the parents lounge to prepare activities and displays for the Cultural Exchange on Friday so please contact the Primary office if we can help in any way with this.
