Sharing is Caring

Congratulations to last night’s musicians. In the lead up to exam season, it is easy to forget that students are motivated to study subjects for the love of learning. We have outstanding musicians at the school studying IGCSE and IB diploma music and I am sure they will go on to achieve the examination grades that their talent deserves but last night was not about theory or written papers; it was about the joy of music, which is a gift to share with everyone.

A Visit to BIS HCMC

Although I missed last night’s recital, I was still able to enjoy some wonderful music by attending the BIS HCMC Spring Concert. I had spent the day in BIS HCMC learning from the experience of our sister school. They have become adept at maximising the potential of their students in the IB diploma and I can’t wait to return to Hanoi and share some of the insights I have gained into elite performance.

Collaboration via FOBISIA and Nord Anglia Education

Whilst in Ho Chi Minh City, I am attending the FOBISIA CPD Leaders Conference. Continuing Professional Development is a central pillar of successful schools. Our teachers are very fortunate in that they have two excellent avenues for their skill development. As a member of FOBISIA, we have access to all the opportunities offered by collaborating with the best schools in the Asia region. Equally important, as a Nord Anglia School, we have access to the “power of 43”. Nord Anglia’s 43 schools stretch across the globe, which results in world class ongoing teacher training. These two networks allow us to constantly share best practice in teaching and learning, which means that your children are always getting the best possible school experience.
