IGCSE Results 2017

  • IGCSE Results 2017 British International School Hanoi

Congratulations to our students on their outstanding IGCSE results this year!

For the 3rd year running, our students' results have exceeded the UK average for IGCSEs (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) with 87% students achieving 5 A*- C grades compared to the UK average of 66.3%.

Our students continue to significantly outperform UK national averages: https://www.jcq.org.uk/examination-results/gcses/2017/gcse-full-course-results-summer-2017

  • 47% of all IGCSE grades achieved by BIS Hanoi students were at the highest levels of A* or A. This is more than double the 2017 UK average of 20%.
  • The percentage of our students achieving 5 A* - C grades including English and Maths at IGCSE is 81%, which is significantly higher than the 2017 UK national average of 66.3%.

IGCSEs are some of the most academically challenging courses currently on offer to 14-16 year old students worldwide. They are respected by universities and employers and offer students the opportunity to study a broad range of subjects in preparation for further study aged 16-18 through the International Baccalaureate.
