    History and General Studies Teacher

    Tom Agass

Tom volunteered and taught English in a number of South American countries after graduating from the University of Leicester before returning to Newcastle and completing a PGCE in History in 2011.  After teaching for a year at an outstanding school in County Durham he moved to Mexico with his fiancée, Hannah, where he taught IGCSE & IBDP History at The Edron Academy in Mexico City.  He was also the Subject Leader for Global Perspectives during this time. Having completed their contracts they set off on a once in a lifetime adventure around the world for a year where Tom got to fulfil his lifelong dream and travel through Eastern Europe, culminating in taking the Trans-Siberian Railway through Russia.  He is a passionate historian and enjoys traveling to new countries to learn first-hand about their past.  He is also a keen (but often limited!) sportsman with a particular affection for football and snowboarding.
