    Kerry Fernandes

    Mathematics Leader

    Kerry Fernandes

Kerry's biggest hobby is travel; after starting her teaching career in Edinburgh where she taught for four years and was appointed Head of Maths in her fourth year, she took time out to travel Asia and Australasia extensively. On returning to Edinburgh, she taught for a further four years in the Hospital and Outreach Teaching Service. During that time she realised that her ambition was to teach Mathematics overseas in international schools. She has since taught in Kuwait, Brunei and Kuala Lumpur; she was also Head of Maths for 4 years and Head of Year 9 for 3 years in her school in Kuala Lumpur. Mathematics is where her true passion lies and she hopes to enthuse and inspire her students to share her love of the subject, and strive to reach their full potential. Kerry has also enjoyed being involved in both Bronze and Silver levels of the International Award in her previous 2 schools.

Kerry has a love for outdoor adventure and activities, and enjoys scuba diving, trekking and seeing new places and experiencing new cultures.
