The British International School Hanoi supports and encourages the all-round development of students. As part of this focus, we have created a programme of residential trips and visits that is carefully planned, structured and organised to provide continuity with classroom learning and help students to progress as a result.

Every trip offers a range of age-appropriate opportunities which help students develop personal leadership qualities, nurture their independence and increase their self-esteem, perseverance and respect for different cultures.

Compulsory and optional trips

There are a number of compulsory trips and visits for several year groups that all students are required to participate in. In addition, we also offer a range of optional residential trips and visits in which students can choose to take part. These trips and visits are normally linked to one area of the school curriculum and provide the opportunity to develop a deeper range of skills and experiences.

The chart below indicates the trip destinations and duration for the various year groups at the British International School Hanoi, as well as additional details of the trip themes and what the students can expect to achieve.
