For the last 10 days, our students of French, Spanish and Chinese have been taking part in the Education Language Perfect World Championships.
Students practise and learn vocabulary in this online competition. Some lesson time was devoted to the activity, but much of the participation took place outside of lesson time. I am pleased to report that our students have done a fantastic job. Last year, BIS achieved 4th place overall and this year we have risen to 2nd out of more than 100 schools worldwide.
The results of the competition are as follows:
Nord Anglia Competition: 1st place
Northern Hemisphere and FOBISIA competitions: 2nd place
Tran Hung, 8N: 1st Nord Anglia, 4th FOBISIA, 17th Northern Hemisphere.
This is an exceptional achievement with a score of 16536 points.
Congratulations to our Elite students:
Arun Ramanathan, 9B – 13630 points
Jina Jeon, 9B - 11026 points
Yuen Yin Leung, 9B - 10008 points
Congratulations to all of the students who took part in the competition.
