This term the Year 3s at Tu Xuong have been enjoying meeting and playing with children from Thien Phuoc.
Thien Phuoc is a centre which cares for disabled children and disabled orphans. First, some of the children from Thien Phuoc came to visit us at Tu Xuong. There were lots of important jobs to do, such as preparing the snack for our visitors and setting out toys that we thought the children would enjoy playing with.
A small group of children from Tu Xuong were selected to be the first group who actually played with our guests. This group of children showed kindness and patience towards their new friends and really helped the children from Thien Phuoc to have a wonderful visit.
Next, it was our turn to visit Thien Phuoc! The purpose of the visit was to provide the children from Tu Xuong with an opportunity to interact and play with the children they had met last time in their home environment. The children from Tu Xuong quickly found some familiar faces and they really enjoyed playing with the toys at Thien Phuoc as well as some fun resources that we brought over like playdough and balloons!
The children from Tu Xuong were excited to see that they also had a soft play room at Thien Phuoc and they enjoyed playing in there with their new friends. Recently, we had another visit from Thien Phuoc and a different group of our children were selected to play. Again, these children played gently and thoughtfully with their guests to ensure they had a great visit. They are really looking forward to meeting their friends again at Thien Phuoc in January.
