It has been a big week with every one of our students taking part in the annual sports days.
For the past 5 weeks everyone has been preparing for these special days in their PE lessons ready to compete in the throwing, jumping and running events aiming to achieve as many house points as possible in the hope to be the sports day champions 2015; the house champs for Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be declared in assembly this Friday.
The PE department were blown away by the students’ fantastic efforts, determination and perseverance throughout this year’s sports days. Every student pushed themselves to run their fastest on the track, throw their furthest and jump their longest distance, they were true competitors and should be very proud of themselves.
Additionally, we have discovered that certain individuals not only won their event(s) but also broke the school record; the names of these students will be
revealed on Friday and will be celebrated!
Sports day is a special event as it is about everyone taking part, trying their best aiming to achieve as may points as possible. Whether you have finished in 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th everybody contributes and makes a difference to the overall scores. In addition to this, we do need to recognise certain people because not only did these students come 1st in some of their events they also broke the school record, meaning that no other student that has attended this school in the past or present has ever achieved a better score than these students…that is worth celebrating!
So congratulations to the following!
