PTG Visit to Thien Phuoc Home

A group of BIS HCMC parents spent a morning at the Thien Phuoc Home this Tuesday. It was the first of their weekly visits to the centre.

We were all first time visitors except for Abi our leader, and we didn't know what to expect. All the children who live there have some disability and suffer from Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy or Downs Syndrome.

When we got there, the older and more mobile children came and said hello to us. They were all smiles and hugs, just happy to get some visitors. After talking and playing with them a little while, we proceeded upstairs to the little ones.

The room upstairs is for the children that are less mobile.  We tried to speak to some of them but we were not sure whether we were understood. We certainly need to brush up our Vietnamese! Soon it was lunch time, we helped to feed the children and some of us carried the little ones around. We felt it was a worthwhile morning, spending some time with these sweet children and we are looking forward to going back.

If you are interested to join our group visits, please email bisvnptgap1@gmail.com. Our next visit will be on Tuesday 25 Oct.
