British International School, HCMC, formed a CNCF Club this term that has been working with a group of children from the Foundation in District 3. Students from BIS HCMC teach children from CNCF the essential life skill of basic strokes, as well as survival swimming, which can be adapted in real life situations.
During the first week of the club, we visited them where we went around the facilities, introduced ourselves and played games with the children there. By playing these games, we were able to learn more about one another individually, which was important as we were going to be working together for several weeks.
Over the last few weeks we practiced their swimming strokes, breathing and also played aquatic games such as water polo. These games made the children more comfortable in the water, and this gave us time to bond with the children. We learnt theirs names and made friends.
The Noble foundation, who we work and play with are incredibly nice, always greeting us and thanking us. It has been a real pleasure working with them.
Dan and Athava, Students
To round off what has been a fabulous term with CNCF, we decided to do something a little bit different with them in our final week.
On Wednesday 14th December the Christina Noble Swimming Club took eleven students from the foundation to the Vincom Megamall for ice skating and pizza.
Everyone had a huge amount of fun playing on the ice, pushing each other along on the seals and most people managed to avoid ending up on their bottoms!
Following the activity we met for pizza where we shared food and laughs together. This lovely Christmas activity rounded off an excellent term for the club and was a great opportunity to share some Christmas spirit outside of the pool.
