AP1 Sports Update

A cracking start to Term 2 for our BIS Sports Teams!

The two week trials for our FOBISIA Games Team showed a great turn-out of keen applicants, and a few tough choices had to be made to finally select the complete team. Training is now well under way with our students practising their Swimming, Athletics, T-Ball, and Football skills.

At the end of January, our Athletics Team competed at the annual SISAC Meet, competing with 11 other schools in the city. Our BIS Team did exceptionally well in all throwing, jumping and running events, and came away with a thumping victory in all age divisions.

Our school swim squad competed in a ‘friendly’ swim gala with SSIS. And once again proved they were a force, as they outscored and outswam their opponents.  More impressively, many of our swimmers beat their Personal Best times, an achievement tough to do!

Football season began at the start of February with both our boys’ team, and girls’ team taking on the Tu Xuong Campus. Our boys ran out as 5-0 winners, and our girls battled out a 0-0 draw!

It is lovely to have to report all these successful stories to the whole school in Friday assemblies. You can see how much the audience, big and small, get so excited and inspired from hearing the practice and teamwork involved to achieve this success, and gaze in awe as they see these ‘legends’ stand in front of them. Long may this continue.
