Parent Group Update – 26th August 2016

A welcome and a goodbye!!!

The 2 months of holiday has flown and Wednesday the bell started to ring again at Tu Xuong.  Once children were in their classrooms, the parents took over the lobby for the second edition of the “Tu Xuong Welcome and Welcome Back Breakfast”.  We should have added “and Goodbye “ to the event’s name because it turned out that one of our families heard the news that they were leaving Vietnam just 2 weeks before the school re opened.  So, Wednesday, we took some time also to say Good bye to Florence and her family.  We wish her all the best and thank her again for being such an active member of the Parent Group (PG).

For almost 2 hours the Tu Xuong lobby was busy!  It was nice to get to know the newcomers and great to hear about everyone’s summer stories.  The new teachers joined in so we could welcome them as well.  We had a great turn over at the breakfast. Thank you for coming and bringing food to share.

The Parent Group (PG) still needs your help and in the upcoming weeks, please consider joining one (or more) of our committees or being a class rep.  It’s a great experience, you won’t regret it!

Have a lovely weekend.

Anne on behalf of the Parent Group.
