Meet The New Teachers: Mr Matt

This week we cross over to the MP3 building where Mr Matt is teaching Year 6. It is fair I think to say that Matt is really enjoying Vietnam and getting stuck in to all the activities and opportunities that Vietnam offers.  He sat down to answer some of the questions about school and Vietnam with us.

  • Meet Mr Matt, new year 6 teacher at An Phu Primary Campus. British International School, HCMC

Pick the first 3 words you think of when I say Vietnam

Food, Busy and Fun!

What are your first impressions of BIS?

A very smiley (and at first) maze-like place with lots happening!  Both the staff and the children have been really helpful and supportive throughout so I actually feel very settled.

What new experience have you had since you arrived in Vietnam?

I rode on the back of a very receptive water-buffalo!

If you were writing a postcard to friends back home, what would it say?

That I’m busier than ever, both in and out of school but that I’m having a blast!  And not to expect me home for Christmas this year.  ;-)
