APP Chat with Our Staff - Ms Hazel Allen, Learning Support Teacher We catch up with Ms Hazel Allen; Learning Support Teacher at An Phu Primary Campus, BIS HCMC.

In this post we speak to Ms Hazel Allen who is now a Learning Support Teacher at An Phu Primary Campus to find out her first impressions of Vietnam.

Pick the first 3 words you think of when I say Vietnam...

Warmth, food & vistas.

What are your first impressions of BIS HCMC?

A huge building maze of corridors and lots of stairs!!  All staff are welcoming, supportive and friendly. BIS is a well-resourced, managed school with amazing students who are not only eager to learn but polite and courteous. Students are so enthusiastic I find a constant buzz around school.

What new experience have you had since you arrived in Vietnam?

On a long Weekend we made the journey to Vung Tau and walked up Jesus just like the famous Statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!  A total of 851 steps to the base of the monument. Amazing views from the arms of Jesus overlooking the South China Sea. There are fabulous sea food restaurants in the region  if you love seafood!

If you were writing a postcard to friends back home, what would it say?

You must visit you don’t know what you are missing from great food, weather and culture.
