Year 2 enjoyed a very exciting Entry Point to their new International Primary Curriculum (IPC) unit ‘The Circus is Coming’. Along with our friends at TX, we were wowed and amazed by the strength and agility of the performers who came from all over the world.

Year 2 enjoyed a very exciting Entry Point to their new International Primary Curriculum (IPC) unit ‘The Circus is Coming’. Along with our friends at TX, we were wowed and amazed by the strength and agility of the performers who came from all over the world.

There were many moments when we held our breath, not sure what was going to happen next! From fantastic fire breathers, amazing acrobats and talented trapeze artists, we really did get to experience the thrill of the circus!

These memories will definitely help us during out IPC topic work, as we will soon be designing our own Big Top, creating our own circus performance and looking at circuses from around the world.

We will also be exploring how people have different opinions on circuses, and explaining our own thoughts and feelings.

Being aware and being human: sharing stories

BIS-Aware season on the Secondary campus was an opportunity to explore the breadth and depth of who ‘We Are’ as individuals and communities, it provided a platform to explore the Protected Characteristics, the hidden and lesser known stories that celebrate our strength and diversity. The purpose of this inaugural event was to promote Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) to nurture a supportive community that encourages a sense of social responsibility and inclusion. This brings together both worldwide movements such as Black History Month and Women's History Month but also our own ‘in-house’ awareness event from the Identity Alliance group. This year our theme was ‘Sharing Stories’.

6 schools from across South East Asia embark on a journey to BIS and beyond for the Nord Anglia Education STEAM Festival 2024

In March, we welcomed student STEAM teams from St. Andrews Bangkok, Nord Anglia International School Manila, and Regents International School Pattaya, alongside our sister schools in Vietnam; BVIS HCMC, BIS Hanoi and BVIS Hanoi to join the NAE SEA STEAM Festival 2024. The theme for this year was “Otherworldly” where each expeditionary team prepared for populating an exoplanet, planning everything from delivering their supplies, to building transportation and shelter.
