EYFS Superhero Boot Camp

This week the EYFS children were invited to join a Superhero Boot Camp at BVIS in District 7.  The children and their parents prepared for this exciting new event by choosing a suitable super hero costume and it was lovely to see so many homemade accessories.  Our mini Superhero’s arrived at school full of energy and enthusiastically boarded the bus to set off for our day of training.

EYFS Superhero Boot Camp This week the EYFS children were invited to join a Superhero Boot Camp at BVIS in District 7. The children enjoyed training as Superhero’s and making new friends. We all hope to go back and visit the children at BVIS again soon.

Once we had arrived at BVIS we were greeted with a field full of exciting activities to train the children into becoming real Superhero’s!   We were introduced to Ms Catherine and some of the other teachers as well as all the EYFS children that attend BVIS.  The morning started by all children and adults singing and dancing to the disco classic ‘Superman’ song.  This put a smile on everyone’s faces and prepared the children to this like Superhero’s!

Once we were warmed up the boot camp started.  The children took part in activities including; crawling through the rings of fire, balancing across the water of dome and dodging floating water balloons.  Children were also able to design their own Superhero costumes, make identity bracelets and stick puppets.

The opportunity to interact with children from other campuses and to explore other learning environments is a valuable experience.  Trips like this event help to support children’s personal and social development and aid them in their empathy with others.  It was wonderful to watch the children from TX playing with their new friends and playing confidently somewhere new.

By the end of the morning every Superhero was ready for a rest so after saying thank you and good bye to our BVIS friends we headed back to TX to tell Mr Ian all about our mornings.  We are already looking forward to our next visit.
