TX F1 Investigate Houses and Homes

Organising trips and residential visits really does bring learning to life.  Through experiencing concepts first hand, learning from the classroom is enhanced and children’s understanding is supported.  At school even our youngest children in F1 attend trips.  On Friday last week, F1 went on their school trip.

As F1 children have been learning about the story 'The Three Little Pigs', Ms Grace graciously invited them to see her very own house!

All throughout the trip, children were well-behaved and actively joined in all the activities. There was first a tour of Ms Grace's apartment, looking at the bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathrooms. Then they played a game by finding different shapes around the house. They saw a ‘circle fan’, a ‘square pillow’, a ‘rectangle door’ and more! After the game the children had their snack in the living room and then played with some of Ms Grace's daughter's toys.

They also noticed that Ms Grace's apartment is made of bricks and cement. It is very strong and we are certain that the big bad wolf will not be able to blow it down!

Thank you Ms Grace for inviting us over! We really had a fantastic time!
