Parents’ Corner –28/4/17

This week has been another quiet week for the TX Parents regarding school linked activities.  However, we do have an update on our PDV Community project.

Ms Duyen who is the project leader and liaising with PDV, informed the Parent Group that the cleaning and painting of PDV playground’s wall was completed on Wednesday 26th of April. Over the break, she outsourced a company.  3,000,000 VND of the TX Community fund was used to pay for this cleaning.  Ms Grace Blechynden, a friend of our BIS Parent Group, has offered to sponsor the base layer of white paint which costs 2,000,000 VND and they will carry out the painting job for free.  We are really thankful for Ms Grace’s donation and for the extra mile that the supplier is going for the community.  Regarding the bathroom work, Ms Duyen is finalising the details and will give us an update soon.

On Friday, Ms Duyen and Ms Clover met to discuss the type of furniture that the Parent Group will provide.  In the upcoming weeks, we might also start a collection for donated playground toys (second hand, but good condition) so PDV children receive additional fun items to play and learn with.

In June when the playground is complete with TX and APS students’ art work, the Community Service department along with the TX Parent Group is planning to host a small party for PDV children, staff and parents, so we’ll need your help for this party.

Have lovely extended weekend.

Anne on behalf of the Parent Group.
