Congratulations Lisa Hagens!

Lisa has been handpicked to speak on behalf of South East Asia at this Summer's High Level Political Forum at the Headquarters of the UN in New York.

  • UN Ambassadors-2547

Back in March we announced the names of two students that had gone through a rigourous process for the opportunity to travel to New York to represent BIS HCMC at the High Level Politcal Forum in New York this Summer.

Our Ambassadors will engage in MUN debate, and be able to converse with representatives from around the world in the opportunity of a lifetime.

However, Lisa was also keen to be allowed to present at the event. There was very stiff competition from all around the world, as ambassors from the Nord Anglia family of schools were also eager for the possibility of speaking at such a prestigious and important global event.

The team of judges that had the unenviable job of selecting a handful of speakers said this: "We have had a challenging job selecting the team to present at the HLPF side meeting. The quality of students’ work and the level of their presenting skills are very high. We had nearly 30 students ‘audition’ and it has been a very close call."

It is quite outstanding that Lisa is one of just 8 students around the world that will be invited to present at this event. So we would like to congratulate her, and wish her and Rosa the best of luck in New York next month.
