As we look forward to another exciting year at BIS HCMC, we are very pleased to introduce Mr Anthony Rowlands, our new Principal.

Dear Parents,

I would like to formally introduce myself to you as the new Principal of BIS HCMC. I have over 35 years’ experience in education, with over 31 years in Senior leadership roles. I have worked in the UK, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand and Vietnam. My most recent role was as Principal of BIS Hanoi, our sister school in the North of Vietnam.

I am thrilled to be leading such an established and high achieving school. Once again, this year’s examination and assessment results are outstanding both in the Primary and Secondary school. Some schools like to ‘sell’ themselves as creative and innovative rather than with a focus on academic results. It is clear to me that BIS HCMC can rightly claim to be creative, innovative and still produce outstanding academic results. Our students are totally committed and are cared for by staff who facilitate innovative situations that allow your children  to flourish as individuals. Our IGCSE and IB results place us as the highest achieving school, not only in Vietnam, but within the Nord Anglia Group of schools. Indeed, our results place us on a par with the very best International schools worldwide.

Whilst the school is in a very strong position, I pledge to work hard with the BIS community to ensure that we go from strength to strength in our development. We will not sit back and just admire our achievements. As a school, we are on a continuous journey to improve and to ensure that we give our children the best opportunities possible.

I am looking forward to meeting many of you in the coming months.

Yours sincerely

Mr Anthony Rowlands, Principal
