Art / ICT Teacher

When looking at schools I was particularly impressed with the high quality and visibility of Art and Design at BIS. It occurred to me that if students could create such dynamic and expressive work they must be special people, with passionate teachers who allow a safe space in which to be individually creative. It is incredibly rewarding to be part of such a committed and innovative community.

BA (Hons) Art Textiles, Goldsmiths College, University of London, UK

Nicola joined BIS in August 2013 after teaching art and textiles at Avonbourne College in Bournemouth, UK for seven years. Highlights of her career so far have been introducing an exciting Art-Textiles course at GCSE and A Level and running annual summer expeditions to Cambodia to carry out vital community projects with UK teenagers. Aside from teaching, Nicola enjoys many creative pursuits as well as travelling, cooking, and yoga.
