Sean O’Neill

Sean O'neill_History Teacher

History Teacher / Acting Deputy Head

BA History, University of Essex, UK

PGCE History, University of Worcester, UK

MEd (Educational Leadership), University of Gloucestershire, UK

Sean joined BIS in August 2014 from Ribston Hall High School, Gloucester, UK.  He spent 11 years there teaching History and Politics. During this time he became Assistant Director Post-16 and then in 2011, Assistant Headteacher. Throughout his teaching career, Sean has run numerous extra-curricular activities. He has led Debate Teams which have represented the UK at the European Parliament in Strasbourg and taken several History Study Tours to Auschwitz, Poland.  In his spare time, Sean enjoys hiking, he has completed the Camino de Santiago de Compostela and scaled Mount Elbrus in Russia. He also takes a keen interest in the fortunes of Tottenham Hotspur FC and is an enthusiastic (if limited), guitar player. Sean has moved to Vietnam with his partner, Anita who also teaches at BIS and their 4 year old son.
