Staff Profile: Jim Dace

James Dace_Head of Modern Foreign Languages

Head of Modern Foreign Languages

I arrived in 2010, wishing to return to Asia from the Middle East. Two things keep me here: Firstly, an ever developing, interesting and vibrant city with positive and friendly people. Secondly, it would be hard to find a school as good as BIS HCMC.

BA (Hons) French and Education, Roehampton, London & University of Nice

PGCE Secondary French, Westminster College, Oxford, UK

Jim joined BIS in August 2010 as Head of MFL. Previously, he has led an MFL department in East Sussex in the UK, before moving overseas to set up languages faculties at Shrewsbury Bangkok and Repton Dubai. He brings with him a wealth of experience in IBDP, A Level, IGCSE and GCSE. When not in school, Jim can usually be found working out in a gym, manoeuvring his way around a golf course or searching for a perfect espresso. He also enjoys travelling, world film and literature and good food and wine.
