Year 5 - BIS HCMC

Every year the Year 5 children set off for an exciting adventure in Hoi An. Over the few days, the children embark on a series of remarkable adventures and experiences. These include a visit to the Hoi An Silk Village to learn how silk is made; Marble Mountain for abseiling and team building; Tra Qe Vegetable Village where they learn traditional gardening skills and cook a delicious meal; Thanh Ha Pottery Village to make clay toys and a lantern factory where they create their own unique lantern. The children also get to experience the wonder of Hoi An ancient town and a visit to the Japanese Covered Bridge. Significantly woven into the trip is a visit to the Village of Hope, a local orphanage, which is part of the Year 5 Community Service project. Year 5 children bring toys and games to share and interact with the local children.  Children return to HCMC with a greater sense of independence and great memories of an exciting trip with their friends.
