Computer Science News

Ms Anne Davies Head of Computer Science and ICT was recently allocated a fund from Professor Sue Sentence-Kings College London. Who was kind enough to award the first few teachers in UK to be awarded BCS Certificate in Computing Science Teaching.

Ms Anne Davies has managed to purchase Raspberry PI Zero’s to be used in the after School Coding club and for future family workshops, in Spring 2016. At the moment there is a world shortage this is the smallest computer-wallet size.

Tim Peake British Astronaut has currently taken a few Raspberry PI’s computers called Astro Pi’s on the board the International Space Station. Exciting fact these were programs written by school age children.
