Academic Review Day 2016

We are holding our next Academic Review Day for all parents of students in years 7 to 9 on Wednesday 16th from 12 noon until 7pm

  • secondary students

What is an Academic Review Day?

This is an opportunity to meet with teachers and discuss your child’s progress, in the same way as at a parent teacher evening.

Where will the meetings take place?

Teachers will meet with you in the classroom they usually teach in.

How do I make an appointment?

  1. Your child will bring home an appointment sheet one week before the Academic Review Day.
  2. Tell your child at what time you can come and your child will arrange appointments with individual teachers.
  3. On 16th March come to school with the appointment sheet and meet teachers at the times which have been arranged.

Will the teachers be available at all times?

The teachers will be available between 12.00 and 19.00 except for scheduled lunch and breaks which will be blocked out on the appointment form. Some teachers may be unavailable at certain times because they will be teaching Year 10/11/12/13.

Should my child come with me?

Yes, your child is very welcome, but you child must wear full school uniform.

Will my child have lessons as well?

No, Year 7 – 9 do not have normal lessons on this day (they will be provided with work to do).

Why is there an Academic Review Day?

So that parents can meet teachers for a longer time. Our surveys at parent teacher meetings indicated that parents want more time to speak to the teachers.
