Dr Jacek Łatkowski
I have been now teaching for 30 years at the university, college and secondary school levels. I began my secondary school teaching in 1989 when I took a post of a science teacher at St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic School in Hamilton, Canada. After a couple of years of teaching in Canada, I decided to travel to Europe with my family by accepting a post at an international school in Munich, Germany. This marked the beginning of my involvement with international education and the IB programme, teaching IB Physics, Mathematics and TOK for the past 19 years. I also have been teaching for the past 15 years at Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard Universities and I continue to conduct academic research when the time permits. I have been an IB examiner for many years and I have written a Pre-IB Mathematics Guide. I am currently involved in educational initiatives related to the use of technology in teaching and learning mathematics. I arrived in Poland in 2008, after almost 30 years of absence but it looks like I might stay here a bit longer.
