My teaching experience has been in Key Stage 1 (years 1 and 2) at an inner city school in East London for four years. As a newly qualified teacher, the school that I worked in went in to special measures after an education inspection and I am proud to have been part of a team that was recognised by the education minister Nicky Morgan, as one of the top 75 schools in England to achieve such outstanding attainment levels upon the final inspection. I was also PSHCE co-ordinator at the school and I am passionate about enabling children to grow as positive learners and global citizens.
After this challenge I felt that I was ready for something new. Having visited Poland on two separate occasions throughout this year, I was extremely excited to come across an advertisement to teach at the British School in Warsaw and didn’t hesitate to apply. My own interests include running, playing the piano and cooking. I look forward to moving to Warsaw and embracing a new culture steeped in history as well as joining a new teaching family at the British International School.
