Year 1 Learning Leader, Year 1 Teacher

After graduating from the University of Silesia in Poland I taught in the UK for 10 years. I have MA in Philosophy, specialisation: Tibetan Buddhism, BA in Psychology, specialisation: Educational Psychology of Children and Young People and obviously Polish and English teaching qualifications and many other certificates as I love learning new things and updating and boosting my qualifications, as children are changing so we should adjust our knowledge to meet their needs. I was working in few schools and wonderfully community supporting Children’s centres, also closely with Social Services in the UK. I am surprisingly back home at amazingly outstanding The British School of Warsaw, extremely excited to teach Year One’s very talented children.

I have huge passion for Early Years and Year One as they are, in my opinion, the roots of knowledge, essentials of natural curiosity about the world itself and philosophy of learning. I enjoy supporting this such an important time in children’s life. It is an amazing process and it is an honour to be there when the magic happens. I like finding children’s hidden talents. I also love fresh air as it gives me fresh perspective so outside learning I personally find as the best environment teaching wise. When children are learning without even noticing it this is my biggest achievement.

I love spending time with my little family, music and art and my bicycle. I love chocolate so much it scares me. I like taking risk in life, basically what does not scare me it is not worth doing. Creativity should be my middle name. I am Daria Sulich.
