Tennielle Morris

Year 1 Teacher

Having spent a number of years of my own childhood being educated in International Schools I always felt a pull towards teaching abroad. It was this experience that led me to study a BA QTS at Liverpool Hope University. Throughout the course of my degree, I was extremely lucky to have experienced teaching in a number of varying educational settings such as special needs schools, forest schools and independent schools.

Alongside teaching, I studied sports and physiology and focused specifically on the physical development of children aged 3-11 years. I worked closely with a number of schools in Liverpool designing fitness programs for students and teachers alike as well as demonstrating how children can benefit educationally from a kinaesthetic approach to teaching in the classroom.

After graduation I applied to teach in Doha, Qatar. I spent 2, very happy, years teaching year 1 children. This was both an enjoyable and challenging introduction in to teaching my own class as all of the children were ESL learners. From there, I went on to teach in London and Dubai learning from colleagues and students alike along the way.

I am extremely excited about my new position within the British School of Warsaw. I also look forward to exploring the city of  Warsaw and all it has to offer as it will be a new adventure for my family.
