Nicole Gosney

Year 2 Teacher

During my third year of university, I opted to spend a semester studying abroad in Warsaw, Poland. The experience was life-changing! After graduating from the University of Michigan with a BA in History in 2008, I decided to move back to Warsaw to begin a career in education.

Teaching has long been a passion of mine. I began my career in Warsaw teaching English in a language school. This a lot different to my three years’ experience as a substitute teacher in an elementary school, and I quickly realized that I missed working with children. This led me to join The British School, Warsaw as a Learning Support Assistant in Pre-Nursery. Since then, I’ve worked in Reception and in Year 1. Working at The British School, Warsaw has enabled me to hone my teaching skills and strategies over the past five and a half years. As a fully qualified teacher, I am extremely excited to move into a full-time teaching position at The British School, Warsaw. I am dedicated to creating a positive learning environment, and I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm with my students!

I enjoy being a part of the vibrant British School, Warsaw community. Most Saturdays you may find me on the football pitch, actively coaching the competitive Year 1-4 girls’ football team, the Cheetahs. Go Cheetahs!
