Coming from a family with a rich tradition in teaching, I have always felt that being a teacher has been my true calling. Since a late teen I have gained a wealth of experience in working with children from around the world having worked on and, more recently led, summer camps in prestigious schools in the UK.

Since joining the school in 2013 and obtaining my PGCE qualification through the University of Nottingham, I have never looked back at my move to Warsaw. Relishing school life and the opportunity to be part of students’ progression and development, as well as reflecting on and developing my own teaching skills with the help from some fantastic colleagues with a plethora of experience.

I studied Psychology (BSocSc) at the University of Southampton and it was here that I developed an interest in the way people best learn and how to overcome any obstacles to learning. I then worked for several years as a Civil Servant where one of my responsibilities was to train new recruits and current staff. With a family move abroad, I completed the Cambridge CELTA course. I then taught English as an Additional Language for four happy years at The British School in the Netherlands.

Having completed my PGCE at the University of East Anglia, I took up a teaching post in an independent school in the Norfolk countryside. Whilst there, I was a Year 5 class teacher and Assistant Phase Leader for Upper KS2. After spending 3 years in Norfolk, I jumped at the chance of working in another country and I am looking forward to joining the team at TBS. My favourite part of teaching is being able to enjoy the company of young minds and hopefully inspiring them to make the best of their individual strengths and talents.

During my time here, I would like to explore Poland and also try to master the language!

From a young age I knew that I wanted to become a teacher. This was partly due to the impact my own teachers had on my education and also my enthusiasm towards learning. Before completing my PGCE I felt it was beneficial continue developing my own skills and therefore I decided to complete my undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Sociology at Cardiff University. I later completed my PGCE Primary (5-11) at the University of West England.

For the last four years I have worked in education and have been lucky enough to gain experience across KS2 both in England and Wales.
