From a young age I knew that I wanted to become a teacher. This was partly due to the impact my own teachers had on my education and also my enthusiasm towards learning. Before completing my PGCE I felt it was beneficial continue developing my own skills and therefore I decided to complete my undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Sociology at Cardiff University. I later completed my PGCE Primary (5-11) at the University of West England.
For the last four years I have worked in education and have been lucky enough to gain experience across KS2 both in England and Wales.
When I’m teaching I try to fully engage all my learners and create an environment in which children are enthusiastic about learning. I make sure that all my lessons and targets are differentiated to challenge children of all abilities by completing regular formative and summative assessment.
I really enjoyed teaching in the UK, but after travelling around New Zealand and South East Asia during the school holidays I wanted to continue working abroad and therefore applied to join The British School, Warsaw. I am hoping to continue my teaching professional development while also learning more about Polish culture.
I am very much looking forward to teaching at the school and contributing to what is an already outstanding staff base.
