I set out on my journey to become a teacher when I was just 15 years old, undertaking my first work experience at a local Primary school in South Wales. From there on my career choice never veered and I qualified from Bath Spa University with a BA with Qualified Teacher Status. I have always worked with Year 1 and 2 children, spending 4 years at an Infant School in Bristol. I then returned to South Wales and taught for 8 years in a large Primary school. This is now my third year at The British School, Warsaw, and deciding to come to here, was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Year 4 Teacher, Year 4 Learning Leader

    Katie Hall

After obtaining my primary PGCE at the University of Leicester, I taught for a year at a small village school in Nuneaton, England. After which, I accepted a job at a Nord Anglia School in Doha, Qatar where I worked for four years teaching Year 1 and Year 4 and was the Global Campus leader. I loved every second of being International and decided to further my international adventure by moving to Warsaw. I am extremely excited to be working at TBS and I am looking forward to discovering the beauty of Warsaw and Poland in the future.

    Year 4 Teacher

    Gary Lycett

My first experience in teaching began in Leeds after having obtained a Creative Writing degree from Leeds University. It involved teaching asylum seekers elementary English so that they could build up the confidence to use it in their everyday lives. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, but I especially valued how they were able to express their cultural backgrounds to me with the English I had taught them.
