I set out on my journey to become a teacher when I was just 15 years old, undertaking my first work experience at a local Primary school in South Wales. From there on my career choice never veered and I qualified from Bath Spa University with a BA with Qualified Teacher Status. I have always worked with Year 1 and 2 children, spending 4 years at an Infant School in Bristol. I then returned to South Wales and taught for 8 years in a large Primary school. This is now my third year at The British School, Warsaw, and deciding to come to here, was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
As a Welshman, I am passionate about rugby and still manage to watch some games on TV here. Football is also a source of great pleasure for me. One of the lures of Warsaw was the wonderful open parks that are everywhere across the city, and walking through these in the crisp winter snow is just wonderful!
Highest Quality Learning
Highest Quality Learning has certainly enhanced my approach to teaching and is having a great impact on the students in my care, even at this young age. I can see the children gaining in great confidence and willing to take risks in new topics. I provide many opportunities for children to work collaboratively, which allows children to express their views and listen to the views of others.
