Having completed my teaching degree in Wales I returned home to Surrey to start my career.  My first teaching position was in Gravesend , Kent  in a Church of England school with a very multicultural population.  My second teaching job was again a Church of England school this time down in the West Country.  My time in these schools allowed me to experience teaching a variety of year groups and positions of responsibility ranging from subject leader to deputy head.

After completing a degree in Primary Education, I spent several years teaching at two schools in Essex. The different schools enabled me to gain plenty of experience working with pupils from all walks of life and allowed me to take on challenges early in my career, including planning and leading residential visits and being the subject co-ordinator for Physical Education. Last year, I began a Masters degree in International Relations and, alongside my studies, worked as a supply teacher in both Primary and Secondary schools. This last term I have had a full time role teaching Year 5 and 6, covering for a teacher on maternity leave.

I completed both of my Bachelor of Teaching and Masters of Education degrees from the University of Newcastle. I have since taught in Australia, the UK, Qatar, UAE and Vietnam, taking on a wealth of varied, successful teaching practises from many different pedagogical theories and curriculums. Much like the educational philosophy of Nord Anglia, these International schools value high educational standards and creating globally minded students.
